Pay It Forward
The Holiday Project runs on kindness — and everyone has some to give. To receive gifts from the Holiday Project, we ask you to share a little kindness in your own community first. It doesn't cost money. It just takes heart.
How it works
When you apply, you'll tell us about a good deed you've done for someone in your community. When you do your kind act, feel free to tell the person it's part of the Holiday Project's Pay It Forward program — caring and giving, all year round.
One thing to know: helping your own family members, or work you're paid for, doesn't count for this — the idea is to reach someone new.
Ideas for good deeds
- Call or visit a lonely neighbor
- Help someone carry their groceries
- Shovel a neighbor's snow
- Give someone a ride to the store
- Visit a nursing home
- Make dinner for someone who is sick
- Babysit for free
- Text someone to say you're thinking of them
